A Guide to Exploring Mount Batur by Jeep
A Mount Batur jeep morning with Kintamani Paradiso Trip is a private 4WD ride to the sunrise, with two longer options if you also want Black Lava or a natural hot spring.
How the jeep experience is set up
Each vehicle is a private 4WD jeep for a maximum of three passengers, with an English-speaking driver. The morning starts with pickup between 02.00 and 04.00 from the Ubud or Kintamani area, then a drive to a designated viewpoint for sunrise over the highlands, including views toward Lake Batur and Mount Agung. Breakfast is included at the viewpoint, so the sunrise package does not require a hike.
That shared start is the part to understand first. The difference between the three experiences is what happens after the viewpoint: you can end the morning there, continue onto the Black Lava landscape, or add time at a natural hot spring.
What to check before you enquire
The package pages list the details. These are the points worth confirming against the tour you choose.
Pickup window
Pickup is between 02.00 and 04.00 from the Ubud or Kintamani area. Confirm your stay is inside that area before you write.
Who shares the jeep
The jeep is private, with a maximum of three passengers. Plan the booking around that limit rather than a larger group in one vehicle.
What the longer days add
Black Lava is the extra landscape. The hot spring package adds the soak and towel. Open each page for the facilities listed there — this guide does not repeat a price.
Prices, weather, and trail conditions are not stated here. Use the tour page, then contact Kintamani Paradiso Trip for the current arrangement.
